Taipei City is currently one of Taiwan's most popular tourist attractions. Converging from different cultures, Taipei is a place that promises to bring extremely interesting experiences to visitors here.

1. Court 101

Speaking of Taipei, surely no one can help but know the 101 tower, which began construction in 1999 and completed in 2004. Dubbed the tallest building in the world in 2004 with a height of 509.2 m (1,671 ft) (if measured to the top of the architecture), until 2009 Burj Khalifa was built in Dubai. The elevator at 101 will take passengers from the 5th floor to the 89th floor in 32 seconds. 

A classy shopping district next to the tower, with hundreds of high-end shops, restaurants and clubs (Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Patek Philippe,...) will help visitors have a fun sightseeing and shopping. 

 

2. Ximenting Night Market

Ximending shopping area is also known as "Harajuku" of Taipei. This area is very popular with Taiwanese youth, you will easily see groups of young people covering street dances and having fun along the way. 



Referring to Ximen Ting, no one does not know the Red House Theater (Red Castle Dream). The historic Red House Theatre is the main LGBT district in Taipei, with an outdoor area surrounding the theater with a variety of bars, shops, and meeting places. Bars in the area have a reputation for serving great drinks and are welcoming to all customers.

3. Shilin Night Market

Shilin Night Market is famous for its many shops selling delicious and unique food. There are many traditional dishes sold at very affordable prices from friendly locals, you will experience unique flavors from traditional recipes such as giant fried chicken (jipai), Taiwanese milk tea, etc

Oyster pies, fried dumplings, and an indispensable signature dish, Rotten Tofu.

The most famous and appreciated dish by tourists here is oyster cake (蚵仔煎).

4. Tithe Old Town

Located nearly 36km from Taipei city, located in a mountainous town in the Swedish area. Once a remote area, Tithe is now much more vibrant and lively and it welcomes a large number of tourists every year.

It is said that initially there were only ten households living here, so whenever they went to the lower area to exchange food, they would exchange all 10 portions of food for other households, so this place was called tithe.

The most famous at this place is the Shiphan Waterfall, a natural landscape not to be missed. The waterfall is 20m high and 40m wide, bringing a majestic and impressive beauty to visitors.

Besides, there is also the lantern dropping activity, which is a special and most famous activity here. People wrote blessings for relatives and families then released them into the blue sky.

5. Nine parts

You've probably heard of the Faceless character, an adorable ghost in the movie Spirited Away. This place is considered to have inspired the idea for this movie because it attracts a lot of foreign tourists, most of them from Japan.

6. Yangmingshan

Dubbed New Zealand in Taiwan, Yangmingshan National Park is a suitable place for visitors to see the most beautiful maple leaves and cherry blossoms.

7. Beitou

North End – hot spring paradise. Here you can enjoy hot spring bathing services at any of the hotels or guesthouses. 

Besides, you can also admire the North End library with unique and beautiful architecture. This is the check-in place for many young people in Taipei.

8. Dam Thuy Old Town

If you want to walk the beach and enjoy unique night market dishes, you can not ignore Dam Thuy. It is famous for its cheesecake with its soft outer layer and hot cheese inside, so try it when you visit!

9. Elephant Mountain

Taipei City is in sight when you come to Elephant Mountain. This mountain is located close to the center of Taipei, it is also a place to create stunning photos of the city of Taipei and a favorite place for photographers.

10. Chiang Kai-shek Temple

Chiang Kai-shek Memorial is a famous national monument, landmark and tourist attraction erected in memory of Grand Marshal Chiang Kai-shek. The ground floor of the memorial contains a library and a museum documenting Chiang Kai-shek's life and career, with exhibits detailing the history and development of Taiwan.
